After an hours-delayed drawing for the $1.326 billion Powerball jackpot on April 6, a winning ticket was declared to have been purchased in Oregon.
In a press released posted Sunday, officials said the Oregon Lottery is working with the ticket holder who came forward to claim the prize. The winning ticket was sold at a Plaid Pantry on Columbia Boulevard in Portland. The convenience store will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the Oregon Lottery said.
No other information has been posted about the potential jackpot winner, although the Oregon Lottery did clarify that the process involves security measures and vetting that will take time before a winner can be announced. But even if the person who came forward is the winner, we may never know anything about them.
Unlike other states, winning players in Oregon cannot remain anonymous with a few exceptions, including if the winner lives in a domestic violence situation, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting. In Oregon, certain information about lottery prizes is public record, including the name of the winner, the amount of the prize, date of the drawing, name of the game played and the city where the winning ticket was purchased.
There are 18 states where winners are able to claim Powerball jackpot winnings anonymously, although there are exceptions and special cases in some of those states. Here's what you should know.

- West Virginia: prize must be over $1 million

What were the latest winning Powerball numbers?
After Saturday's win, the Powerball jackpot was reset to $20 million, and has since grown to $46 million with a $21.5 million cash value after there were no winners on Wednesday. The next drawing is Saturday, April 12.
The winning numbers from the Wednesday, April 10 drawing were 6, 7, 12, 24 and 36. The red Powerball was 15 and the Power Play was 2X.
While there were no jackpot winners Wednesday, there was a Match 5 + Power Play $2 million winner in Texas and a Match 5 $1 million winner in New York.
